Tuesday in TCI
We love Tuesday’s at Ports of Call because it is the day we host our Manager’s Social! Come out for a complimentary drink, hors d’oeurvres and trivia while getting to meet management, other guests and even sometimes the owners when on property. Since this is an event you don’t want to miss, make sure to stay local today! See below for a list of things you can do right in the area.
Volunteer at Potcake Place
Located in Salt Mills Plaza (700m from resort), you can adopt a puppy for the day! Whether you take them down to the beach or for a walk around the area, these island puppies are just looking for some love and fun. If you happen to fall for their oh-so-adorable faces, you can inquire about adopting it with no strings attached, but donations are appreciated.
*Tip: Potcake Place is open Monday – Saturday 10am – 4:30pm (closed Sundays). If you want to adopt a puppy for the day, make sure you get there for 10am sharp as there will be a lineup of others looking to do the same and, they can only be taken out until 12:30pm. Don’t feel like walking one? Mo worries! Drop in for a visit to play with some in the shop.
Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced kiteboarder, Long Bay Beach is the perfect place for it. Its 2km deep stretch of shallow, crystal clear water makes it easy to learn from scratch or improve your ride. We definitely recommend beginners taking a lesson or two to start off but once you’re comfortable, Turks and Caicos Kiteboarding offers full and half day equipment rentals so you can try on your own while cutting costs. Special Offer: Pre book your lessons with Turks and Caicos Kiteboarding and they will provide you with a discount code for 5% off rooms at Ports of Call Resort. Use this code to reserve your room online or call us directly.
Grace Bay is the center of gift, jewellery, art fashion and duty-free shopping in the Turks & Caicos. Between our own on-property plaza, Shops of Ports of Call, and others such as Regent Village (650m away) and Saltmills Plaza (700m away), you will find the island’s best product offerings.
Ocean Outback – Infamous Pirate Cave Excursion
While this is not an activity in the area, this is an excursion we highly recommend and will have you back in time for our Manager’s Social. This 40’ Glass Bottom Catamaran includes a beach BBQ lunch, snorkeling, and exploring a 300-year-old pirate cave with treasure maps carved in stone.Price: $98/adult and $59/child + tax |
