Safety
In general, the island is very safe with minimal crime so feel free to walk around and enjoy the nearby beaches, shops, bars and restaurants. While crime / theft is rare, we do not recommend walking alone or off the main streets after dark or leaving valuables in rented vehicles and suggest the use of your in-room safe located in your closet for storing valuables when leaving the room.
Drinking Water
The tap water in our resort and at all the restaurants on the island is safe to drink.
Sun Exposure
We strongly recommend the use of protective sunscreen to prevent your vacation being adversely affected by a burn.
Rain
Rain is minimal on the island and if it does rain, don’t fret, as it will usually clear up within a few hours. Umbrellas are available at the front desk.
Sand Fleas and Mosquitoes
If mosquitoes find you appealing, we strongly recommend the use of a mosquito repellent. It is also important that you use our outside spray shower conveniently located to the East of our lobby entrance to wash off any sand you have brought back from the beach; children’s play area or smoking zone to minimize the effects of the sand flea bites. Guests who are prone to bites should also avoid sitting close to bushes or shrubs, either around our resort or at restaurants. Also, avoid sitting directly in the sand.
Internet
The hotel is equipped with Wireless Internet in all our guest rooms as well as in the lobby and bar area. The password is written on your room key pocket.
Ice
Ice machines are on the second and third floor of each building (south end).
In-Room Safes/Security
Digital room safes are located in the closet of each room. Although Turks and Caicos is considered one of the safest of the Caribbean Islands, the resort does provide on-site Security Services from dusk till dawn.
Housekeeping
Rooms are cleaned daily from 9:00 am till as late as 5:00 pm. In the event that your room has not been cleaned by 4 pm or you require additional linens or supplies, please notify the Front Desk. As per hospitality standards, bed linens are changed every guest turnover and every three days thereafter. If you desire or need your sheets to be cleaned within this cycle, please notify the Front Desk before 9 am. Used towels left on the floor will be cleaned daily. We would appreciate your assistance in helping us conserve energy by hanging used towels that do not require washing on the hooks provided.
Water and Electricity Conservation
The cost of water and electricity is extremely high on the island. We request your cooperation in conserving use by turning off the TV and all lights when you exit the room. The air conditioner thermostat in your room senses movement to keep your room at the set temperature. If you are asleep and not moving or leave the room for a few hours during the day, the room may warm up but will quickly cool down as soon as the AC senses any movement. No short-term adjustment is necessary.
Laundry and Dry Cleaning
A washer and dryer for guest use is located at the rear of the west wing. Tokens and detergent are available for purchase at the Front Desk. Dry cleaning and alterations are available at the nearby Pioneer Cleaners outlet just south of Graceway Gourmet (approx. a 2-minute walk from the resort).
Towels, Clothes, Bathing Suits or Wet-Suit Drying
As each bathroom is equipped with robe hooks, the hanging of towels or other items over a balcony, on hallway railings or on room furniture or shutters is prohibited. Diving / kiteboarding gear or other large equipment that can damage or mark the walls is not allowed in the rooms.
Storage Lockers for Dive and Kite Boarding Equipment
Individual vented storage lockers located at the outside rear of each wing are available at no charge for storage or drying of wet suits, diving gear or kite boarding equipment. Locks are available at the Front Desk for a rental fee of $5. We ask guests to limit locker use to a maximum of 4 days.
Bar Services and Alcohol Restrictions
Our pool side bar is open from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm daily with the exception of Thursdays when the bar closes at 8:00 pm. On Thursdays, the bar closes at 8 pm as many of our guests will be at Fish fry. We believe that our prices are the best on the island, especially during our daily Happy Hour from 4:30 – 6:00.
Alcohol beverages (whether purchased at our bar or at the nearby Grace Way Gourmet IGA) can be consumed anywhere on the resort premises (including the beach). Beverages consumed in and around the pool and hot tub need to be in plastic glasses or containers.
Please note that Graceway IGA has a policy of not selling liquor on Sundays.
Once our pool side bar has closed, drinks are available from any of the bars and restaurants in our adjacent plaza.

Beach Access and Services
The resort has a section on the beach which is staffed by our own Beach Attendants/Shuttle Driver from 9 am to 6 pm mid-March to the end of October and from 8:30 am till 5:00 pm November through mid-March. Please note that our beach attendants are not certified lifeguards. While the water is safe, and on most days very calm without any under currents, we strongly recommend that you keep a close watch on children or weak swimmers.
To get to the beach you have the choice of an approximate 4-minute walk through the plaza and down the laneway across from the east side of our plaza or you can use our free shuttle service available on the hour from 9 am to 6 pm mid-March to the end of Oct and 8:30 am to 5:00 pm in the winter season November through mid-March. The resort’s blue chaise lounges, umbrellas and mini chairs are available at no charge to our guests on a first come basis.
Please be considerate of your fellow guests and free up their use if you are going for lunch or an extended walk. Our beach attendant is authorized to remove any items from a chair that has been abandoned for more than one hour and assign it to another guest.
Please note that the neighbouring hotels do not allow our guests to use their chaise lounges. We recommend that you take drinks, towels, sunglasses, hats and lotion to beach. All of these items are available at the shops in our adjacent plaza.
Our beach attendant must secure all chaise lounges and umbrellas by 6:00 pm in the mid-March to the end of October and 5:00 pm November through mid-March. We apologize for any inconvenience for those that wish to stay on the beach longer but trust you appreciate the need to secure and lock the chairs each evening.

Users of both the boards, kayaks and the floating lounges are asked to stay out of the boat zones and to venture no further than 200’ from shore, within site of our beach attendant. Taxis
There is a large fleet of taxis that service the island. All are very safe drivers, friendly and honest. Due to high fuel, repair and import costs, taxi fares are more expensive than in North America and are charged on a per person basis. Please verify the rate per person or the flat charge to your desired destination with the driver before you depart.
Car Rental Agencies
If you plan on getting out and exploring the island, renting a car, whether for a day or the entire duration of your visit, is highly recommended. Daily or weekly rates will vary depending on the time of year. We have arranged with Caicos Wheels, conveniently located in our adjacent plaza to offer our guests a special discount.
For the names and numbers of other agencies we recommend reviewing your WHERE, WHEN, HOW magazine. All companies, whether airport based or not, will arrange to either pick you up at the airport or have the car at the airport awaiting your arrival.
Driving in Turks and Caicos is relatively safe and driving on the opposite side of the road is something that most North Americans adapt to quickly.

Most denominations are located on the Island. Please contact the Front Desk for locations and times for service.
Grocery Outlets
A large modern supermarket, Graceway Gourmet IGA is located across the street and stocked with all of the items that you would find in a large North American grocery. The IGA also has a large deli that many of our guests enjoy as an inexpensive outlet for healthy and fresh lunches, dinners and snacks. Feel free to bring your deli food back to the resort, warm it up in our breakfast area microwaves and enjoy by the pool or bar. Complimentary shopping carts are available at our Front Desk.

Our own Ports of Call Shops should satisfy most of your shopping needs. Some of our tenants offer guest discounts. More stores including art, fashion and jewelry shops are located at One Seasons plaza across the road, The Regent Village or Salt Mills Plaza located a short 5-minute walk east on Grace Bay Road.
Airport Check-In Times
We strongly recommend that you be at the airport a minimum of 1.5 to 2 hours before scheduled take-off (minimum 2 hours on weekends in busy winter season). Please consider that the airport is approximately a 15-minute drive from our resort plus any time required for gassing up your rental vehicle, returning the vehicle, etc. Please provide the Front Desk sufficient time to arrange a taxi if required.
If you have pre-purchased airport transportation, please refer to your booking confirmation on how to arrange pick up times. This is not to be done through our front desk.
Departure Tax
Most airline tickets now include the $30.00 US dollar per person departure tax but if yours does not, we remind you that payment is on a cash only basis.
