The Staff at Ports of Call Resort Will Make You Feel Like It Is Your Home Away From Home
Businesses often wonder how they can differentiate themselves from the competition. With a Caribbean resort it can be very difficult to differentiate by product alone as the majority have pools, restaurants, gyms, etc. At Ports of Call, we believe that our friendly Resort goes above and beyond to make us stand out.
Potential guests researching Ports of Call Resort will see that it is a 98 room boutique resort located across the road from one of the world’s best beaches (but with its own supervised and equipped beach area) and just steps from all the shopping, restaurants and nightlife that Grace Bay has to offer. It offers free breakfast and has all the amenities that the more expensive resorts include. While you might think that the main reason guests choose to stay with us is the combination of low rates and great amenities, we can confidently report that it is in fact the reputation of our friendly staff.
At Ports of Call Resort, we see each other not as fellow employees, but instead as family. While our small resort feel plays a large factor in contributing to this, it is the energy of our staff and the interaction amongst both themselves and the guests that is so special. We are fortunate to have gathered such a great team!
To honor and recognize the hard work each one of our staff members contributes to the resort, we host an awards ceremony every quarter to recognize their excellent commitment to customer service and pride in their work.
While many awards are presented, there is one overall winner for Team Member of the Quarter. This first quarter, we are very happy to announce Ms. Millame Pierre as the overall winner!
Millame is currently one of our breakfast attendants and has been with us for 12 years. We believe some of her most exceptional qualities include her winning smile and the way she takes care of our guests, ensuring that breakfast is always prepared and on time as well as handled with excessive enthusiasm. This Haitian raised winner says that in her spare time she likes to spend time with her family and attend church regularly. When asking her most memorable interaction with a guest, she noted, “It was when I was able to assist one of our guests who had a disability. I attended to her by serving her with her favorite breakfast items while she relaxed at her table. What made this so special was seeing that I was able to make her smile”.
Millame’s loyalty and hard work ethic at Ports of Call Resort is a great example to our other staff, guests and even Turks and Caicos Tourism overall. For a country that revolves around tourism, Millame is definitely an asset. We are so happy to have her apart of our Ports of Call family. Congratulations Miiame.
While Millame may have won the Team Member of the Quarter, there were many other staff awarded. Perhaps you encountered their excellent service while staying at the resort?
